About 5.4 million students, or 1 in 4, took at least one distance education course during the fall of 2012, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

Not providing any video or audio resources in an online class is tough on your students-you need interactive items for students-it's best if you include a number of yourself discussing / demoing concepts too.
